Oprah and Gayle King’s camping trip ‘gay rumours’....

Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey’s camping trip with Gayle King may have sparked more gay rumours about the two best pals. Speculation over the nature of their relationship has reared up again after King joked about fuelling “lesbian rumours” as the two retired to their camper van for the evening. The second part of their outdoors adventure, which they hope will encourage more African American families to go camping, was aired on Wednesday’s show. In one scene, the two women turned in after enjoying an evening toasting marshmallows with their camp neighbours. “Do you want to go in first?” asked 56-year-old Oprah, nodding to their modest quarters. “Let’s just add to that lesbian rumour, come on in baby!” replied King, 55, who edits Oprah’s ‘O’ magazine. Spreading out her arms, the American TV billionaire giggled, “Lesbian rumours.” As music from 1970s family show The Waltons began to play, Gayle yelled out, “Night John-Boy, night Mary Ellen.”
