Wesley Snipes: Finally Headed to Jail

He may have proven that white men can't jump, but Wesley Snipes has also made it clear that felons can't avoid jail time.
The actor - who was convicted of tax evasion in 2008, but spent years going to extreme lengths to avoid his sentence - had his latest appeal rejected by a federal judge this week.
Told he “had a fair trial” and that “the time has come for the judgment to be enforced,” Snipes will finally be heading to the clink.

“Wesley is very disappointed but staying strong and positive,” his lawyer told The Orlando Sentinel.
It’s unclear when or where Snipes will start serving the sentence. So much for always betting on black, though.
UPDATE: A judge has ordered Snipes to start serving this sentence by December 9.

Michael Brea Suspected of Decapitating Mother with a Samurai Sword

This is as bizarre and as heinous a story as we could possibly imagine.
Michael Brea, a small-time actor who once appeared on Ugly Betty, has been taken into custody for allegedly chopping off the head of his mother with a samurai sword.

According to police reports, cops arrived to an "extremely bloody" scene at Brea's Brooklyn home around 2:20 this morning and found the actor holding a bible. They had to subdue him via taser.

A neighbor recounted events, as he/she heard them, to WPIX 11: "I hear [Brea] chasing [his mother] through the house and he's just saying a bunch of [Bible] passages like, 'Repent, Repent, Repent.' I heard him chasing her through the house and I heard a loud scream and so I have my father call the cops."

The victim was found with her head sliced off. At the moment, Brea is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation and then will be handed over to the NYPD.

Antoine Walker Sued For Ganking Fiancee

Former NBA star Antoine Walker is being sued a guy for $5 million.
The charge? That 'Toine stole his fiancee! He's accused of putting the moves on an engaged woman a few months ago, then laughing when dumped him.
Kevin Jenkins says he actually caught his fiancee having "an intimate moment" with Walker back in October and decided he would approach the pair.

That suit and ring have likely been repossessed.

At that point, "Mr. Walker taunted and laughed at Jenkins with the intent of causing him emotional distress." Jenkins says he became suicidal as a result.
Now, he wants Antoine to cough up that sum. Good luck with that, given Walker's very serious financial problems. Dude blew like $100 million bucks!
Oddly enough, Walker himself was engaged to Evelyn Lozada (above) before he went broke and she glommed on to Chad Ochocino instead. Go figure.

Ashton Kutcher Threatens Legal Action Over Brittney Jones Sex Tape

Let's get one thing straight: Ashton Kutcher does NOT co-star in Brittney Jones Confidential, the sex tape his alleged mistress is set to release on December 14.
But that doesn't mean the actor is happy with the existence of the video, especially because Vivid Entertainment is referencing Kutcher and Jones' allegation in its marketing of the amateur adult movie.

Don't worry, Ashton. Brittney's film can't make you look any worse than Killers did.

In a Vivid press releasing touting the sex tape, the company writes "Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced."
Hilarious? Yes. Illegal because it uses the star's name to sell the porn? Probably, argues Kutcher's legal team.
In a letter sent to Vivid, Ashton's lawyers claim those behind the release are infringing on the actor's "marketable celebrity identity value." We're pretty sure he killed that himself with Killers, though.
These attorneys are threatening to take action unless Vivid stops using their client's name in association with Brittney Jones.

German Hackers Accused of Stealing Ke$ha Nude Photos, Pre-Released Singles

This is a sobering thought for many: there are allegedly photos of Ke$ha nude floating around the Internet.
According to The Associated Press, two German hackers have been nabbed trying to sell unreleased tracks of various artists, while officials say the suspects are also accused of blackmail attempts against Ke$ha, threatening to release compromising photos of that singer unless she helped to promote one of them, an aspiring DJ.

Ke$ha is a master of various looks. One of them, reportedly, doesn't involve any clothing.

Duisburg chief prosecutor Rolf Haferkamp says two men used malicious software to break into computers containing music and personal information for dozens of recording artists, including such stars as Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake.

Police were tipped off to this scheme by followers of Kelly Clarkson, who reported they were contacted via fan websites and offered the chance to purchase new, unreleased material by the former American Idol.

"The investigation could result in charges relating to commercial copyright violations, which carry a penalty of up to five years in jail," Haferkamp said to German news agency Deutsche Welle.

One of the alleged suspects is 18 and the other is 23. Both live with their parents and both have admitted to at least a couple charges.

We all know Danielle Staub is an expert at getting naked. But telling the truth? That's another story.
Following a successful defamation of character lawsuit against this reality star - in which Staub settled the day before she was scheduled to be deposed - Kevin Maher is at it again.
The ex-husband of this former drug-dealing call girl has filed a lawsuit against publishing company Simon & Schuster, claiming it knowingly published false information about him in Staub's new memoir "The Naked Truth."

In documents filed last week, Maher states Simon & Schuster, "failed to use reasonable care to determine the truth or falsity" of allegations Staub brings against him in the book.
Notably, he takes issue with Staub's assertion that Maher beat her so badly, she had to be hospitalized for a concussion and "assorted contusions." Maher tells TMZ he's asking for $10 million in damages.
We're asking both of these people to go away forever, but we're unlikely to get our wish.

Gloria Allred Condemns Khloe Kardashian for Rape Comment

It's a rare day when THG sides with Gloria Allred.
But it's also a rare day when a celebrity compares being screened at the airport with being raped.
That's exactly what Khloe Kardashian did on Lopez Tonight, however, prompting the following response from the attention-loving lawyer:

“Rape is a crime of violence. I believe that the word should not be used loosely to describe security measures at airports or at any other place.
"I think that many victims of sexual assault who have been the true victims of men who committed that violent crime against them and who have been forced to suffer the physical and emotional harm that results from that crime would be insulted that the term would be used in the way that Ms. Kardashian used it."

Another Assault Arrest for Floyd Mayweather

It's safe to assume the dream bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao won't be taking place any time soon. One of these boxers has a couple legal fights to deal with before he steps into the ring again.
Mayweather, who is already facing a couple felony counts for allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend in the face, has now been charged with criminal battery in Nevada.

It's hard to say what Floyd Mayweather has more of: Championship belts or arrest warrants?

This case stems from a November 15 incident, in which a private security guard Shayne Smith claims Mayweather went off on him after Smith placed parking citations on two of the athlete's vehicles.
Based on documents obtained by TMZ, Smith accuses Mayweather of screaming that the guard had "no f-cking business" touching his personal property. He then grabbed a parking tickets from one of his cars and slapped it on Smith's patrol vehicle.
"While lambasting Smith, Mayweather was allegedly jabbing his finger into the left side of Smith's cheek just below his eye," reads the charge. "This willful and unlawful use of force and violence upon Smith caused redness and discoloration to the area which was battered by Mayweather."
No response yet from Floyd's reps, but Smith says he has photos of the damage Mayweather allegedly inflicted on his cheek.

Taylor Swift Named EW Entertainer of the Year

Talk about an impressive feat: Taylor Swift has been named Entertainer of the Year... for the second consecutive time!
Following the Associated Press honoring the singer with this distinction in 2009, Entertainment Weekly has done the same for 2010.

What has Taylor done to earn this title from EW? Only begin the year with a number-two single debut (“Today Was a Fairytale”), a hit movie (Valentine’s Day), and a quartet Grammy wins, including Album of the Year.
She also headlined a series of arena concerts and sold over one million copies of the album "Speak Now."

Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry: It's (Already) Over!

You can rest easy now, Halle Berry. Kim Kardashian is no longer trying to steal your life.
Sources tell Life & Style that Kardashian has already called it quits with short-term boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, with whom she was spotted on a couple dates last month.
"Kim feels like Gabriel was just using her for her fame," an insider told the magazine, adding that the 34-year old model "is older than Kim is looking for."

Of course, Kim isn't just sitting at home on Saturday nights. Another source says there's a "real spark" between her and New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries. They first dined together in early November and also went out in NYC this past weekend.

"Kim likes him much more than Gabriel," says a friend. "He's normal, so much fun and cute. He's perfect for what Kim wants right now, which is some fun dates and some fun times."

Katrina Kaif beats top Bollywood stars in mobile search

New Delhi, (BollywoodWorld.com) Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif is the most searched celebrity on the mobile phones and has beaten the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai.
The research was conducted by mBit Infotech, a Value Added Service(VAS) provider.
Among the Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities, Katrina is on the number one spot followed by Angelina Jolie, Kareena, Shah Rukh, Salman, Bipasha, Aishwarya, Monica Bellucci and Aamir Khan.
Commenting on the results, Raghavendra Agarwala, CEO of mBit Infotech, said: “It is amazing to see that Katrina Kaif is ruling the charts with a major pie, presumably implying that Katrina’s popularity is mounting for both national and international audiences.”
The research is based on the searches performed by over 120,000 users of mBit in the first quarter of 2010 (Jan to April) and it also found out that “sex” is still the most popular searched keyword followed by music where mostly international music icons like Akon, Linkin Park, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna and Michael Jackson top the list.

No DTH premiere for “Hook Ya Crook” – David Dhawan

Mumbai, (BollywoodWorld.com) Director David Dhawan dismisses as “baseless” media reports that his film “Hook Ya Crook” won’t release in theatres but would instead arrive directly on DTH.
“Where did you hear this one now? Nothing like this is happening at all. I am not surprised by such rumours though. With so many news channels and other media forums to be fed, there is something that has to be written about day in and day out,” Dhawan told IANS.
“Really, all these talks of ‘Hook Ya Crook’ releasing directly on DTH instead of in theatres is stretching one’s imagination a little too far. This is news to me as well,” said Dhawan, who has been attached to the project for quite a few years now.
Considering that “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna” had arrived on DTH immediately after its opening weekend, a possibility like that can’t really be ruled out.
But Dhawan said: “It would be catastrophic if the film arrives on DTH so early. It is an expensive film and a big one at that. It needs to be seen in theatres first rather than on small screen.”
Announced in December 2006, “Hook Ya Crook” — starring John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Genelia D’Souza and Amrita Rao — has taken the longest so far for a Dhawan film to reach the finishing mark.
Change in cast, availability of the right actors, recession plaguing the industry and accidents during the shoot are just some of the many reasons that have delayed the film’s completion.
With producers UTV Motion Pictures not putting their money on any new and big projects, the production house may well be pinning its hopes on its long-standing project “Hook Ya Crook”.
“By December, we should be through with the shoot of ‘Hook Ya Crook’. Since the film is set in a jail and cricket plays an important part in the narrative, we are waiting for the dates from some key Indian cricket players.”
Talking about the delay, he said: “There is so much that is required in the making of a film. While we are waiting for this last schedule to get over, which would last for about 10 days in total, there is good progress being made on the post-production activities. The film is certainly not on hold, as some rumour mongers are busy predicting.”
Dhawan is gearing up to finish the film soon and release it in 2010.

After the much talked about the Break Ke Baad movie which released on last Friday and deals with the life and problems of modern couples who are at cross roads to choose between their careers and their love lives, it was being projected as being quite unrealistic in real life by many.
However, just to prove those people wrong, there is news about the leading stars of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Freida Pinto and Dev Patel going through the same situation in their real lives. Cops: Angelina Pivarnick Punched Girl's Grill

Angelina Pivarnick, formerly of Jersey Shore and currently of various police lineups, didn't just get in a fight this weekend, she went after the girl. Hard.
According to law enforcement, the erroneously self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island punched some chick in the mouth in Atlantic City, N.J.
Ange was set to fight a Celebrity Boxing bout against another reality star - Kerry Schwartz, whoever that is - but got into an unsanctioned bout earlier.

AC cops claim the wannabe rapper was the aggressor at the Taj Mahal (shocker), allegedly punching the unidentified girl in the face and body.
Police say a summons complaint for simple assault has already been mailed to Pivarnick ... and she's due back in court later on this month.
Angelina says she plans on cooperating with authorities, but adds, "That night I feel I was provoked, taunted, and harassed into a fight."
"On top of that there are signs pointing in the direction that this was a set up against me and I have witnesses and evidence to prove this."
Just like on Jersey Shore when Snooki whomped her ass, we're sure she had NOTHING to do with it and the attack came out of nowhere.
