Matt Cardle has no plans to quit smoking now that he's won The X Factor 2010.
The painter/decorator reckons ditching the fags would ruin his voice.
'Some of the best singers in the world smoke,' Matt, 27, tells the Daily Star.
'When you quit it is detrimental to your voice for a good month or so.'
X Factor judges Simon Cowell, 51, and Cheryl Cole, 27, both smoke. 
Matt beat Rebecca Ferguson, 24, and One Direction to win the ITV show. 
His single When We Collide is expected to become Christmas No 1.
