George W. Bush Still Irritated With Kanye West....

Oh well, this just goes to show that when the truth hurts, it can hurt for a while. Or not. Hard to say why, but “tight lipped” George W. Bush is still disgruntled over some comments Kanye West made in the wake of Hurricane Katrina…five years and one President ago. But it’s true. And, like most other big stars, George W. went straight to Matt Lauer to talk about it. Who wouldn’t, really. He told Matt Lauer that Kanye West’s shocking statement that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” in the wake of Hurricane Katrina was “one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.” Spike Lee made a 256 minute documentary with the same sentiment, but I guess George is more of a Tom Hanks movie kind of man. You can expect to see these quotes airing on Monday November 8:

“I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.”

And that’s out of a lot of disgusting moments! During the interview, Matt read an excerpt from George Bush’s upcoming memoir Decision Points, which comes out November 9.

“I faced a lot of criticism as President. I didn’t like hearing people claim that I lied about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction or cut taxes to benefit the rich. But the suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all time low.”

For Kanye, he is so over the Bush thing. He’s still trying to explain why he stormed the stage when Taylor Swift won her MTV Video Award. “The situation is bigger to me than the Bush moment,” he told New York radio station Hot 97. Weighing in on an argument between George Bush and Kanye West is like making a call on which dying moose has a more beautiful voice. Maybe George Bush should have done, I don’t know, anything to change the perception that he doesn’t care about black people. But also, IT’S KANYE. It’s not like he was being taken down by Dr. Maya Angelou, a.k.a. someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. Which leaves all of us to wonder, it must be a sad sad news day when the only thing for Bush to complain about is something that happened 5 years ago…amidst a LOT of other things to talk about.

Lindsay Lohan, Parents to Bury the Hatchet?

ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY? Hey, anything's possible. Apparently.

Doctors and therapists at the Betty Ford Clinic, where Lindsay Lohan will continue to reside until early 2011, have been "encouraging" her to get in a room with her folks to resolve issues that may have put her in her current state.
Five or six years too late, but hey, better than never.
Lindsay is being urged to consider getting both parents together with her during one of Betty Ford's family week next month. Lohan may even go for it.
One encouraging sign? Michael Lohan, who spent time with Lindsay this week, says he's willing to sit down with Dina AND won't blab to the press. Wow.
As for Dina Lohan, she's not pleased with the idea but hasn't ruled it out. She seems more interested in Lindsay's recovery than ever, so here's hoping.
Dina went to Betty Ford for a family week last month. Michael, who made a stink about being shut out, will go to a family week sans Dina next week.
Lindsay appears committed to the whole thing, because yesterday she and Michael made time for a little mid-day movie date - their second in a week.
All encouraging signs. Let's hope they build toward real change for a star whose downward spiral can't get much worse. We applaud all their efforts.

Taylor Swift Hearts Jake Gyllenhaal. A Lot a Lot.....

Aw, she’s just too cute for words. While belting out one of her songs from the top deck of her tour bus for some fans in Hollywood, America’s latest sweetheart stopped to pause to make a heart shape out of her fingers, leaving many fans wondering just who is that man putting a smile on her face. Luckily, we found out. It sounds like the heart was meant for a certain someone, as Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have reportedly spent another marathon love weekend together, They were engaged in some pretty enthusiastic hand-holding. Perverts! Sweethearts! We can’t decide. They were spotted at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California, about 250 miles south of San Francisco. The poster people for good behaviour were seen holding hands with their arms wrapped around each other. And Taylor was even wearing a BERET. Does a date get anymore Very Special Blossom than that? So far, so adorable. They’re both pretty low-key, so hopefully it doesn’t get messy (see Jonas, Joe). But let’s just underline that they were having breakfast at an inn in the middle of nowhere. Does that not sound like a sleepover? I guess we’ll have to wait for Taylor’s fourth album, tentatively titled The Night I Lost It At An Inn.

Khloe Kardashian to spend holidays ’slaving in the kicthen’.....

Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she plans to spend the holiday season ’slaving away’ at a hot stove. The 26-year-old reality TV star has volunteered to help her mother Kris cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal for the family. Khloe, who stars in Keeping Up With The Kardashians with sisters Kim and Kourtney, admitted although she still hasn’t started her Christmas shopping. Kim is the easiest to buy for as she actually makes a registry of what she wants. “The best part about Kim is that she puts your presents on hold, the ones that she wants,” she told Us Weekly. “She’s the easiest to buy gifts for.” Kim added, “I’ll just say, ‘Everyone here’s the registry, it’s all on hold at all these stores’.”

Olivia Munn: I sleep with my laptop these days.

Actress Olivia Munn has revealed that her laptop is the only thing keeping her bed warm at night. The Iron Man 2 star features in the Men’s Health Tech Guide for 2011. Dubbed a “gadget goddess” by the US fitness magazine, she says: “I sleep with my laptop these days. “I’m single, so I’ve got the space.” She adds: “I sleep with my BlackBerry and myTouch plugged in on my nightstand, my laptop in my bed next to me (now that I’m single I have plenty of room to let my electronics sleep next to me)…” The former Beyond The Break star also has a universal remote at hand that controls her Blu-ray device, satellite TV and Xbox. “I don’t think there’s a problem with gadgets in the bedroom,” she says. “And listen, when someone really grabs my attention, I don’t even think about my phone.” In an Ask Olivia column, the Date Night star advises male readers to “always text back” when they’re communicating with a potential girlfriend. “Texting sporadically to keep her chasing you can backfire, hard,” she says. “Girls can play along at first, but eventually we’ll get anxious and then we’ll just shut down.”

Terri Seymour wants invite to ex Simon Cowell’s wedding

Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour says she hopes she can go to the X Factor judge’s wedding to Mezhgan Hussainy. Seymour, 36, split with the music mogul two years ago but she admitted they have remained good friends since they finished and she hopes she’s getting a wedding invite. Speaking about Hussainy, Seymour told the UK’s Grazia magazine: “Look, she’s great. There’s absolutely no awkwardness between us. At the end of the day, he’s one of my best friends and so long as he’s happy, I’m happy for him. “I’m hoping I can come to the wedding, but it will all depend on work.” Seymour has been dating hotel manager Olivier Lordonnais, 36, for the past year.

Snooki got her just desserts in the latest episode of a hit reality TV show. The Jersey Shore star got her own cake lookalike as she ordered a cake for her mum from New Jersey’s Cake Boss on TLC. Bakers at Carlos Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, recreated the fist-pumping MTV reality star out of chocolate and icing, complete with her famed pouf haircut. Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, ordered the cake to celebrate the birthday of her mum, Helen, who also featured on the cake.
